What customers say?

“ Got a chance to finally eat here while on an outing with an acquaintance in town. I passed it many times but never actually ate here. Great local spot that's very popular with people I know in this neighborhood. Alway hopping with locals. ”

- Chris Deskiewicz -

“ Great Food with flavor, not a fancy restaurant to go out in a date but if you looking for a Mexican restaurant "The best", with a great prices as well, the lunch goes from 7$ and up which is perfect. I'll recommended it ”

- Mario Jose Perdomo Guzman -

“ Reasonably priced simple authentic meals. I love this place, been eating here for years. Very cheap compared to the rest of Princeton; though be prepared to take out if squeezing between strangers at a bar against the wall doesn't appeal to you. They/he/she can only make a subset of the things on the menu at any given point in time, but those dishes are getting all their attention and are delicious. ”

- Ben Krejci -

“ Guatemalan and Mexican food, not "seafood," as Google thinks. They used to do (still do?) magnificent huevos rancheros. The bistec dishes are great. One of the best lunches in Princeton. ”

- Jake Mackey -

“ Had been wanting to try Chapin for a while, but the cash only setup made it a bit tricky at first. Finally came prepared with the right change (and then some). The place has limited about 3-4 people seating with stools on opposite sides of the wall. Tried their beef burrito — total came to $14.75 with a side of Tamarindo. Fair enough by Princeton standards. The taste? Solid. Not something that’ll knock your socks off, but definitely good value for the price. Noticed it’s a spot frequented by Latino customers — so I trust they know the authentic flavors far better than I do as an outsider. All in all, worth the visit if you’re in the area and craving something casual ”

- Nabeel Khan -

“ The restaurant was authentic and reasonably priced. The food was good, but nothing over the top. You can get your typical Latin American lunch consisting of meat, rice, beans, and tortillas. Fortunately I had a Spanish speaker with me. Otherwise it would have been difficult to communicate. This is where the local Latinos go. There are a handful of stools and limited counter space so don't go with a large group unless you plan on taking your food to go. Definitely try the homemade horchata. ”

- Joshua Pollock -

“ My FAVORITE place to eat in central jersey. You get plenty of food for the amount you pay and almost everything is made fresh. If you don't like spice, be careful with the green sauce. ”

- Tiffany Chen -

“ This place is great. It's a small restaurant, not a lot of room. The food is fantastic for the price, and the tortillas are pretty authentic Guatemalan tortillas. I'm glad this place is in Princeton. ”
